Speaking Digital

That’s how many photographs were taken last weekend at the 2008 Charleston Chill Softball Invitational. And who is the lucky person to go through 6,030 photographs? Me and only me. Thank you to the parents who are being very patient with me. I originally thought it would take, at the very least, a week to get those photos done and up, but realistically, its looking like it will be closer to two weeks.

I will be doing minimal touch ups at first – adjusting exposure and color only. It will make it a whole lot easier for me to get through everything doing it this way. Once a photo is ordered, I will then go over it with a fine tooth comb and take some time with it to make sure it is perfect.

You are more than welcome to drop me a line with any questions or concerns about the photos.

I just wanted to tell all of the seniors at CHS congrats on graduating. As a graduation gift from Speaking Digital, any senior (or their parents) will get 20% off their photo order. I’m pretty familiar with most of the seniors, but do me a favor and remind me when you place your order. Sleep has been hard to come by and some common sense has gone right out the window.

So, here’s how this is going to work. First and foremost, were t-minus 8 days and counting (officially, May 2nd.) When things go down, I’ll be sending out a mass text. If you want to be on this list of mass text, please drop me a line (e-mail steve@speakingdigital.com) and let me know.  I’ll add you to the list of numbers.  We’ll see just how well an iPhone can handle sending out texts to multiple people.

Of those lucky people that get that text, your mission, if you choose to accept it, is to spread the word like wildfire to everyone you know. Updates will be posted here and when photo opportunities are available, you will get to see photos.

This whole setup will be a test of how well technology likes to play with each other. The photos will be taken and e-mailed from my iPhone to Flickr. From Flickr, they will be cross-posted to here. This whole process will happen seamlessly – just like getting the nursery ready. So, yeah, just be ready.
