Free Services

Yes, you read that right. I said free. No strings attached.

I just wanted to let everyone know that I do not believe in charging for initial consultations or follow-up e-mail or phone help. I have no problem answering your questions, comments or concerns for free. The way I see it, the better educated people are about any topic, the better off everyone is.

How does this work? Well, first off, you need to drop me a line (e-mail is best) and let me know what’s going on (or not going on, for that matter.) When contacting me, please be as thorough as possible in describing your situation. The more detail you can provide, the easier solving your problem will be. More often than not, we’ll be able to figure things out without you having to take your problem in for paid service.

Am I crazy for doing this? Depends on who you talk to. I think not. I’d rather be very straightforward with you from the beginning and have you be happy in the long run.

This is quite possibly the scariest looking robot I have ever seen. It makes all those Terminator movies look like child’s play.

Why I don’t own a MacBook Air

Miscellaneous on March 10th, 2008 No Comments

I’m normally on the up-and-up when it comes to having the newest technology from Apple, but considering I just got a new MacBook Pro, there was no need to get a MacBook Air – even though they are wicked cool.

Here’s just another reason to not get a MacBook Air.

Notice to Windows Users…

Software Updates on March 10th, 2008 No Comments

Calling all Windows users, you may want to run Windows or Microsoft Update tomorrow.  According to Microsoft, four updates – rated critical – will be available roughly around noon CST.  They are also releasing “three high-priority, non-security updates on Windows Update and Windows Server Update Services (WSUS) as well as two high-priority, non-security updates on Microsoft Update and Windows Server Update Services (WSUS).”  I’m going to take it that means there will be five additional high-priority updates available.

To read up on the releases yourself, head on over to the notice at the Microsoft Security Response Center.

Any problems, questions or comments, as always, let me know.
